Obituary of Brian James McNeil, Scotchtown
It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our dear son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, Brian James McNeil on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
Brian graduated from Breton Education Centre in 2005 and attended New Dawn to obtain his welding certification and later, pipe-fitting trade. Brian quickly gained employment in Alberta but made sure to secure a 'flight job' so he could continue to come home to spend time with his family.
Brian loved his family and friends; always taking time to make sure everyone was 'good'. He had the biggest heart of gold and never turned anyone away. Brian gained countless friends with his quick wit and he loved to make people laugh. If you were a true friend of Brian, you were likely given a ridiculous nick-name which he wouldn't miss the chance to remind you.
Brian will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his favourite hockey player, Kayden.
Brian was predeceased by his father, Willie Jennex; grandparents, Maryann and Allan McIsaac; uncles, whom he adored and gained a lot of his comedic ways from; aunt, Tootsie and his fur babies, Taz, Xena and Benny.
Left to mourn are his mother, Lorraine, who he loved more than life itself; step dad, Ray; brothers, Willie, Jason, Scott and Millan; his favourite sister, Jennifer and his 'other mother', aunt Gloria; nephews, David, Wylie, Kayden; nieces, Samantha, Ashley, Zoe, Gracie, Kayleigh, Kylie, Sydney and Cadee, all of whom he adored and never missed a chance to spend time with; his fur baby, Letty.
Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, New Waterford. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada. Online expressions of sympathy can be sent to: www.vjmcgillivray.ca.
