Obituary of William Charles 'Chuck' MacKinnon, Scotchtown

It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of William Charles 'Chuck' MacKinnon, age 83, on Friday, July 12, 2024 at New Waterford Hospital.

Born in New Waterford March 6, 1941, he was the son of the late Francis Joseph and Annie Mae (MacNeil) MacKinnon.

Chuck was a good man and loving father. He was a truck driver in Ontario for 30 years until his retirement at the age of 49.

Surviving are his daughter, April Ann Gilmour, Scotchtown; sons, Terrence Paul MacKinnon, Chuck Wade MacKinnon, both of Ontario, Michael Joseph MacKinnon, Alberta; grandchildren, Shelly Ann Pope, Thomas Jason William Gilmour, Celina Sheyenne Gilmour, Chantel Brammer, Christopher MacKinnon, Emily MacKinnon, Matthew MacKinnon; great-grandchildren, Zoe Gilmour, Reia Brammer, Jenson Brammer, Aubrey Pope, Henley Pope, Colbey Pope, and Bentley Mackie; many nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents, he was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. A Funeral Mass of celebration will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Ave., with Father Godwin Obike officiating.
