Deb, Ralph, and their families I was so saddened to hear of Teresa's death. She was always such a kind and friendly lady to me in my younger years when I delivered her newspaper. Sometimes it was come in and warm up a minute and other times her house smelled so beautiful of baked goods. I was lucky enough to get a little treat at times. Deb, although you and Ralph were a little older than me I still got to know you both somewhat. Ralph delivered our mail after your Dad retired. My condolences to all as you grieve your precious Mom. May she rest in eternal life!

How Do You Begin to Say Goodbye to a Loved One When You're Not Ready to Say Goodbye?
In the fleeting moments I've shared with my mom since she came to Halifax, I've come to know her more deeply than I ever imagined. Each breath I take feels heavier, as if the air itself carries the weight of her absence. Surrounded by reminders of her, my heart swells with a profound ache I never anticipated. Memories flood back, revealing the depth of my loss, and the realization of how much I miss her is overwhelming.
My mom was a force of nature, a woman who lived with purpose and knew exactly what she wanted from beginning to end. Every step she took was with intention, guided by love and kindness. She entrusted me with tasks, not just as requests, but as acts of love—making calls, arranging every detail, taking care of her home, and ensuring her most cherished belongings went to the people she held dear. Every instruction carried the weight of her heart, ensuring that her wishes were honored, down to the smallest detail.
Her determination, though unwavering, was never harsh—it was wrapped in a quiet grace. She showed me that pursuing what matters isn’t about force but about clarity, kindness, and persistence. With every decision, she taught me the profound value of living a life aligned with your heart’s desires. My mom’s legacy is a reminder that knowing what you want—and pursuing it with love—is not only possible but essential.
As someone who thrives on control, this journey has profoundly affected me. It's hard to grasp, yet I recognize that my mom's memory will forever be a part of me, embedded deep in my heart for the rest of my life.
In the coming days, we will face the difficult task of saying goodbye. Yet, I find comfort in knowing that this farewell is not forever. I hold on to the hope that one day, I will embrace my mom once again. In that moment, the love we share will be even deeper, more profound, than anything I've ever experienced. Until then, her memory and love will remain deeply embedded in my heart.
My mom truly treasured the friendships she made and the connections she nurtured. She valued her friends deeply, always eager to keep in touch, to talk on the phone, or to go out and share in life's moments. A talker at heart, she cherished the laughter and camaraderie of her friends. This Monday, her friends and loved ones will have the chance to say goodbye, or rather, "see you again sometime soon." For I know that her vibrant spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
It feels impossible to say goodbye to someone who has been such a constant in my life. But as I breathe through each moment, I find peace in knowing that love transcends time. My mom, Teresa, will always be with me, not just in memories but in every decision, every act of kindness, and every moment of joy.
Mom, you are the most beautiful memory I have locked in my heart. Your love is infinite and will last forever.
