It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Ruth Clements, age 87 of Port Caledonia on Thursday, November 14th, 2024 in the Northside Community Guest Home, North Sydney.

Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Joan was the daughter of the late Charles & Frances (Weir) Marshall.

She is survived by her three children, Frances (Anita), Mary (Dwayne), Gerald “Gerry” (Alena), many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, Walter Clements in February of 2024, sister, Betty and a brother, Charles.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay.

Interment will be held in the summer of 2025 in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Blackbrook.

Memorial donations in memory of Joan may be made to a charity of one’s choice. A special thank you to the Northside Community Guest Home, North Sydney.
