Obituary of Estelle (MacDonald) Morrison, Glace Bay

It is with immense sadness and deep regret that we announce the passing of our wonderful mom, Estelle Morrison, age 87 of Glace Bay on December 21, 2024 just after losing her dear son, David on Dec 6.

Estelle is survived by her children, Keith (Bernadette), Patricia (Gary), Krista (Craig), daughter in law, Annette and her sister, Kay who was always her best friend.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mom was an L.P.N. for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital (Pediatric Unit), Glace Bay.

Estelle was predeceased by her husband Delbert, son, David and daughter, Carol in infancy, parents, John and Josephine MacDonald, sister, Carol and son in law, Bernie.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to New Waterford Home Care and Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney, (especially Renee and Riley) for the wonderful care.

The loss of our Mom is deep and immeasurable. We will cherish her legacy forever. Give Dad and David a big hug from us. 

Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 16^th, 2025 at 10 am in St. Anne’s Church, Glace Bay with Fr. Dan Boudreau presiding. Interment in the parish cemetery, Wallace Road at a later date.

Memorial donations in memory of Estelle, may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
