I'm terribly sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I'm originally from GB and had the privilege of hearing Stephanie on a weekly basis at mass. She was there for everyone during the day-to-day and joyous celebrations, and our most darkest. I wish you strength during these difficult days. And an extra hug for Mickey, who grew up with my brother Andrew.

Stephanie and I were good friends at Keith Hall. Her smile and laugh would light up a room. I’m so glad that we reconnected through Facebook. She always spoke so lovingly about her family, her music and her deep faith. I’m sure she was welcomed into heaven on her passing.

Sincere condolences to Stephanie’s family. She was a wonderful person and an awesome musician. Kenny (Hutchins) had the pleasure of playing lead guitar in the Klassics Band with Stephanie and they developed a friendship, and unfortunately when she moved to Halifax we lost contact with her. They had great fun playing in the same band for a number of years. I have beautiful Christmas snowman towels that we put out every Christmas, ones she had given us for an August wedding gift, and she explained how she loved Christmas and snowmen (a woman after my own heart!) My Yia-Yia was an incredible woman who was full of love for her entire family. She was one of my best friends and the world will always be a little darker without her, but I will never forget the lessons and love that she instilled in me. Her impressive musical talent and career always pushed me to be the best I could be in my own musical career and I owe so much of my success musically to her. She called all of us grandchildren her little bunnies, and it was a true blessing to be her first and to have the special connection with her I did. I will miss her every day until we meet again. I love you Yia-Yia.

As a child I used to attend Holy Cross with my grandmother , when i stayed over her house. I joined the kids choir there , which stephanie directed and played the organ for. She was so kind to us. I always loved her" karen carpenter " sounding voice . She was a lovely lady whom i admired . She lived near my grandparents on brookside street back then and would often walk to church with my nana and I my condolences to stephanies family and friends. She was sweet lady.

I cannot express how sad I am to read this. Stephanie was the first person I remember singing in church and she encouraged me to do the same at a ripe age of 8. The memories of her, her family and music will live on with me forever. I am so glad we spoke, 2 years ago to discuss music and "the good old days".
