Obituary of Louis Levi 'Louie' McDonald

Louis "Louie" McDonald Dominion It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louie McDonald, age 62 of Dominion on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Glace Bay Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late John and Catherine Elizabeth (Pinkston) McDonald. Louie worked for Devco for 24 years and also for System Care. He enjoyed fishing, playing darts and was an Oilers Fan. Louie was an all-round handyman. Louie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Ann (Peori); sons, Louie Jr. ( Melissa), Reserve Mines, Robert (Jennifer), Onslow, N.S., sister, Laura (Brian); brothers, Billy (Verna, deceased), Danny (Juliette), Reggie; grandchildren, Julia, Olivia, Jake and Ryan who were his pride and joy. Beside his parents Louie was predeceased by his brother, John and one brother in infancy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 2-4 &7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev Vernon Reid officiating. Reception to follow. Cremation will take place following the service. Interment will be held at later date in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
