Obituary of Sharon McInnis, Dominion

Sharon McInnis Dominion/ Sydney Sharon McInnis, age 62 of Breton Ability Centre, Sydney passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay and raised in Dominion, she was the daughter of Eileen (Cameron) McInnis and the late Dan Willie McInnis. Sharon was one of the first clients at AFTEC and Brass Tacks. She loved her crayons and doing her coloring. Sharon truly enjoyed socializing and was well known for her pleasant and happy nature. She was also a great fan of Johnny Cash, "I hear that train a comin, rollin around the bend……", was her favourite. Sharon is survived by three sisters, Sheila (Mike) Kelly, Kim (Michael) O’Hara and her special sister, Patricia "Pat" McInnis who was also her best friend. She is survived by one brother, Brian (Delores) McInnis, five nieces, Sherri, Lori, Lindsay, Ellen, Grace, two nephews, Darren, Brian and her sister in law, Peggy McInnis. Besides her father, Sharon was predeceased by her brother, Willie. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11th, 2017 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. followed by a reception, all in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. Fr. Dan Boudreau officiating.
