To all of Danny's family: I was very saddened to read today of Danny's passing. Our families go way back. Danny and our Dad worked together for many years in the "pit". I chuckle a little today as we all, as kids, got to know Danny's voice when we would answer the telephone. Almost every time it was Danny on the other end, it meant he was looking for our Dad (Tom Haley) to go out to work, even though our Dad had already finished his shift or to talk "pit talk". My sisters Ann, Eileen and I babysat for Danny and Kathleen and they both attended all seven of our weddings and then of course there is MIRA (our Dad's little piece of heaven on earth). It was Danny who was instrumental in talking our Dad into purchasing the lot next to him. A place we enjoyed and still enjoy to this day even though our parents are watching over us from above. I know that when he and our Dad get together above there will be lots to talk about. Danny, Kevin, Karen, Kathleen and all extended family, please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. I will not be able to attend the funeral due to the weather, but I will light a candle tomorrow during the funeral time and offer a rosary for everyone. Hugs to all and God Bless!
