What a life well lived-- we did not pass each other very often but when we did--what fun. Hughena was always ready for a story; to sing a song, play cards you name it!!!!It is so sad that keeping in touch got less and less over the years, especially after i moved away and Mary was living away too. I so enjoyed my last trip to Cape Breton and seeing so many of the family, especially Hughena and Lil----how I wish Mom could have been there as well. And Aunt Sadie as well.I called Diana Shakeness and told her of Hughena's passing--we are the only two left in this part of Nova Scotia--we both remember the visits to Pictou County . I am so sorry to hear about Hughena she was wonderful person and she will be missed of us all. I am glad I got to speak to her on the phone when she joked about since her accident she couldn't send Christmas cards but maybe she will send Easter cards instead.

I am sorry to hear of Hughena's death. Our parents travelled to New Waterford with us during many Summers to visit Uncle Jack and our cousin's. Hughena was always so welcoming and generous. I know she will be much missed.
