Dear Bobby, Simon, Johnny, Peter, Barb, Isobel, Jonathon and family,
We were so very sorry to hear about Bernie's passing. Luckily, our families grew up together, just houses apart. Although Bernie and siblings were older than us, they were cousins who were always there for us and supported Donna, Karen and I in everything we did. Our hearts are broken for you all. We have such fond memories of our family gatherings and the great times that we all had together. Nothing can ever take these memories away. It has been many years since I had the pleasure of working with Bernie. He was one of my supervisors back then and always had time for me as I learned about what it was to be a paramedic. I am saddened by his passing and know he will be missed by many.

My sincerest condolences to the White family. I had the great blessing and pleasure of crossing path's with Bernie while attending school at St. Rita Hospital.
He was a very wonderful, fun, intelligent and caring man who did put a smile on the faces of the many people he encountered.

I worked with Bernie for many years. He and I were partners back in the day out of Cole Harbour station. He was one of my first long-term partners. I have always looked up to Bernie for experience, not just on the job, but for support in all things that life was throwing at me at the time. We spent Many night shifts discussing life lessons which I always found fascinating. I would say Bernie kept me on the straight and narrow. Bernie, you were a great man full of knowledge and love for the profession. Loved by many. My greatest sympathies go out to your family , friends and coworkers. May you rest in peace!!!

It saddens me greatly to hear the news of Bernie's passing. We were childhood friends and shared many wonderful experiences growing up. I remember his kindness, his love for mystery books, and his incredible talent with numbers. In high school Bernie was often the one who solved the most challenging math problems that baffled the rest of us. Bernie is in my thoughts today, and will be for a very long time. To the White family; I am so saddened to hear of Bernie's passing. We were classmates in high school and had not seen each other since then. In April of this year we met again when he was my mother's roommate in NW hospital where he celebrated his birthday looking so forward to that pizza delivery!!!!!
