Obituary of Beverly Ann Fisher ~~ Glace Bay

A beautiful person and loving mother, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Victoria Haven Nursing Home, Glace Bay; she was 76 years young. Born in Glace Bay, Beverly was the daughter of the late Ward and Marion Christine (Dunlop) Richards.

She was a longtime resident of the Morien Hill area of town and was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Glace Bay.
 
Dearly loved mother of Neil Walter “Wally” (Sara), Sydney and Laura lee (Tim) Mills, Chalk River, ON; adored grandmother to Crystal and Neil and cherished great-grandmother to Haylee. She will also be remembered and sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and friends.

She had a special spot in her heart for cats as she rescued many over the years.

Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by and is now again reunited with her loving husband, Neil; sister Patricia and brother Jim.

Visitation will be held today, Friday, September 15, 2017 from 7-9 pm and Saturday from 1-1:45 pm in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.

A graveside prayer service officiated by Rev. Myrna MacMullin will be celebrated 2 pm Saturday, September 16, 2017 in St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery, Maple Ave., Glace Bay.

Immediately following the cemetery service, all are invited to a reception at the Miner’s Village Restaurant, to join Beverly’s family for a celebration of her life and to partake in a memorial toast at 3:00 pm.
