Obituary of Brian MacEachern, New Waterford
It is with deep sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Brian MacEachern on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the QE2 Halifax Infirmiary surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 63.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Neil and Kathleen 'Kay' (Hamilton) MacEachern.
Brian resided in Windsor, Nova Scotia. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Windsor and was known to be an avid dart player. Brian was employed with Avon Valley Greenhouses for over 30 years.
He leaves behind his loving daughter, Kelly Ann MacEachern (Sean) and grandson, Bradley MacKenzie, Scotchtown, stepdaughter, Cynthia Cochrane-Smith (Alex), Sackville, N.S.; sisters, Linda (late Herb) Lang, Brenda Sewell, both of New Waterford; brothers, Robbie (Marlene), New Waterford, Billy (Mary), Scotchtown, twin brother, Bruce (Kim), Windsor, N.S., Keith, Brent (Kathleen), both of River Ryan; many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 from 10-11 a.m with the service commencing at 11 a.m all in the Salvation Army Citadel, King Street, New Waterford, with Majors Rocky and Janice Bishop officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Salvation Army Hall. Donations in Brian's memory may be made to Union Grove Cemetery, Scotchtown.
