It is with deep and sincere heartfelt sadness that we extend our condolences on behalf of our mother Lois Kitson. Mom and Shirley met over 55 years ago when both were patients at the Kentville hospital, where they became dear friends and have remained close ever since. Visits and phone calls sustained their close friendship, with trips to Shirley’s being extra special. Shirley added, positivity, laughter and empathy to all our lives. She is already missed by our mother and father.

Please a accept my deepest condolences on the passing of such a beautiful soul. I met Shirley shortly after I met Bev and immediately felt a bond of friendship. I loved her radiant smile and her gentle way. She made me feel like I knew her forever and she and Bev and I had many visits over tea and treats. She will be loveingly missed. RIP sweet lady.

To all of us who new Shirley, our hearts are broken. I remember her with fond memories when I grew up in New Waterford. I remember visiting her all the time when I was visiting my grandmother (Muriel). It was always a pleasure visiting with her and the family. She never turned anyone away and always spoke kind words. It is a huge loss for all of us and I send my deepest condolences to all my cousins. Shirley will never be forgotten. I wish I could be there to pay my respects in person. To the Family~~Our deepest sympathy to each and every one of you on the passing of Shirley. She was a true lady who always greeted you with her beautiful smile sparkling eyes and a warm hug. My late mother (Willena Sheppard) worked with Shirley many years ago at the Quality Store. I remember as a wee child going there with Ma and 'the girls' would let me 'play store' with the new receipt books. Funny how things stick in your head after all these years.
