Robbie and I were childhood neighbours. He did have an infectious smile, kind heart and soul. He was born to be a mentor to so many young people and he was great at it. Please accept my deepest sympathies at this huge loss. Robbie was a great ambassador for all things sporting in Cape Breton, especially soccer. I have fond memories of him when the Tigers played the Capers. I had the utmost respect for what he accomplished with the CBU Soccer Program. I wish you peace in the days ahead.

Robbie was an amazing gentleman who I had the great pleasure of working alongside at Donkin Complex this school year and played hockey with every Thursday night in New Waterford. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Robbie was a fierce competitor but one I always highly respected and admired. The work he did To bring the CBU soccer program to the top was amazing.
Robbie’s love of family always came through to me and was the personal trait that I most admired in him. My last encounter with him, his oldest son was with him and I could see the family pride he had! The many young men that became part of his soccer family will surely come to understand on a deeper level the great affect he had in their lives. This will always be only one of his great legacies.
