She enjoyed many friendships due to her love of being with, working with and helping people. A fun loving, generous spirited person, her loss will be mourned by many friends and family members.

The family would like to thank everyone who sent cards, flowers, visited, called and brought food to the house during this difficult time. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. We thank our wonderful friend, Alana for helping us get from place to place when we needed it.

We would also like to thank the wonderful staff of Glace Bay General Hospital for the cheerful kindness and excellent care given to our mother, and ‘Dee’ for the caring good cheer every day that made such a difference. As well we thank the very kind and capable EHS drivers for the many trips back and forth to the Regional Hospital in Sydney. Dr. Spencer and Dr. Walker of Glace Bay, Dr. Khodadad and Murdock Williams of the Regional Hospital in Sydney and Dr. Ritter of Palliative Care must be thanked for their invaluable assistance. These fine people went the extra mile to help our mother and our family. We would especially like to thank Dr. Ley, who has been her family physician for 23 years.

Finally we send much love and thanks to George and (Aunt) Mary Baillie for their endless support and devotion during our most difficult time.
