She was very helpful and imparted her wisdom.
She was such a talented seamstress and created for me a, 'one of a kind,' treasure.

Our mothers were childhood friends- their friendship lasted through many years and many miles between them. I only had an opportunity to meet her a handful of times growing up when we travelled back to Cape Breton (from Ontario) to visit family. Eileen had a way of making you feel welcome and had a genuine greeting smile. Always a hug upon arrival and one when we left. I know she made a difference in many lives and will be greatly missed not only by her family, but by the community she lived in.
