Obituary of Lawrence Pius Tucker, Scotchtown

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Pius Tucker, 62, on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at home.

Born in Toronto, Ont., he was a son of the late Kenny and Mary (MacLellan) Tucker.

Lawrence was employed with Marge's Taxi for 14 years. He also worked at the fish plant in Glace Bay. Lawrence enjoyed going to Chase the Ace at the French Club on Thursdays, telling jokes and watching Duck Dynasty. He also loved music and dancing with aunt, Diane and friend, Bernadette. 

He is survived by a sister, Paulie Tucker; brothers, Kenny and Sid (Margie); uncle, James as well as several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Hilda and Irene; one brother, Earl and a brother in infancy; paternal grandparents, Sid and Christina Tucker; maternal grandparents, Leona and Michael MacLellan.

Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7 from noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. all in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford, with Deacon Lorne MacNeil officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, New Victoria.
