To the Jurcina and MacEachern families, I was very sad to hear of Martha’s passing. She was courageous woman who battled her illness with heart and determination and never gave up. It fills my heart with joy knowing that she was able to see her children grow into wonderful human beings and that she was able to enjoy time
with her grandchildren. Martha had a wonderful sense of humour, even when she would get cross with us as youngsters, hearing her say “See my finger, see my thumb, see my fist? You better run!” always made me laugh. I grew to appreciate her humour even more as I got older and had great conversations with her whenever I would visit her at her mother’s house. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Martha you were my best friend and I will miss you tremendously. You were the bravest person I have ever known, always smiling when we visited. Taking us around and introducing us to all the other residents and workers. They all loved you greatly.
