Obituary of Darlene Detienne

It is with broken hearts that we regrettably announce the sudden passing of Darlene Detienne, 60, on June 21, 2016 at her sisters' house surrounded by her family. Born in New Waterford and formerly of Ling Street, she was a daughter of the late Elsie (Wilcox) Detienne and Damien 'Dom' Detienne. Besides her parents, Darlene was predeceased by her sister Diane Campbell and her brothers Damie, Leo and Willie. Darlene enjoyed playing darts and having a beer with her twin sister. Left to mourn Darlene are her daughter, Sasha (Jeff); twin sister, Delores (Lenny), with whom she lived; brothers Jimmy (Kay) and Jackie, all of New Waterford; one granddaughter Alexis, who was her pride and joy; also several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. A service will be held at a later date.
