Obituary of Judith Marie March
It is with sadness, that we the family, announce the passing of Judith Marie March, age 64 of Glace Bay on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Roy Orien and Mary Martha (Wilmot) March and was a member of St. Anne’s Church, Glace Bay.
In her earlier years, Judy worked at the General Instrument Plant and at the Highland Fisheries Fish Processing Plant. She was a very outgoing person with a good sense of humor and loved a good joke. Judy was a very generous person and often provided for people she though were in need. Judy also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and was an avid dart player.
Surviving are her sisters, Ann Marie Gillis and Mary Charlene "Dena" MacIntosh, both of Sydney, she will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and numerous friends, especially her close friend, Karen Budge.
Besides her parents, Judy was also predeceased by her brothers, Donald Joseph, William Gerard; sister, Genevieve (Walter) McQuinn; and step mother, Ann Clarke.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13th, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay Street.
A funeral service celebrating Judy’s life will be held Thursday, July 14th, at 2 p.m. in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, with. Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding.
In honoring Judy’s wishes cremation will follow with interment in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations in memory of Judy may be made to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County or to a charity of one’s choice.
