Obituary of Paul Gerard Prendergast

Paul Gerard Prendergast Port Morien On Friday July 15th, Paul Gerard Prendergast passed away in the presence of his family at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney. Paul was 52. He was the son of the late Michael and Isabell (Carter) Prendergast. Paul was born with Sturge-Weber Syndrome. While Paul had his challenges, he had a strength of character that enabled him to overcome barriers and exceed expectations. Paul is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. We sincerely thank the medical professionals at the Glace Bay Hospital, the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON). He is survived by his sister, Mary (O’Neill), brother in law Keith, nieces, Caitlin and Terri his loving aunt and uncle Marg and Doug Howie. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V. J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street , Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19th, at Saint Mary’s Church in Port Morien, with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding.
