Obituary of Leroy Lyons, N.W. / G. B.

Leroy Lyons, 65, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney.

Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Dan and Alice (Devison) Lyons.

Leroy was a former maintenance worker at the Cape Breton Hopsital, the Cape Breton Regional and New Waterford Hospitals. He enjoyed working on old cars in his spare time.

Surving are his wife, Patricia 'Patsy' Lyons; daughter, Lee Ann (Henry) Arsenault, New Waterford; brother, Tommy Lyons; sister, Debbie (Michael) Reid, both of Glace Bay; two grandchildren, Gracie and Jesse; several nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, Leroy was predeceased by a brother, David.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith  Street, New Waterford. A burial will take place in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glace Bay, at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
