Our community was blessed with the selfless efforts by the Knights of Columbus here in Fort Erie, of which Brother Ray was a member. One of my earliest and most lasting impressions was working with him, serving breakfast at our Hall on a Sunday morning. Families were there, and pre-schoolers were having fun running around with their exuberance and burst of energy. Ray and I paused to watch them so expressively happy. He turned to me and had the beatific smile, his face aglow and said "...that's why we do what we do...". Working with Ray as a fellow Knight member, every interaction and visit with him, left me inspired that our Council and Community has been blessed with a force for good, whom lived by Apostolic values, that was stalwart in faith and compassionate in his help, but certainly wouldn't suffer fools or less than honourable deeds by others. Dear Kay and McNeil family, thank you for sharing Ray with us, our world is for the better because of the Lord's blessing us with Ray's presence and spirit.
