I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Gurney. I will forever remember him putting around his yard or chatting on the deck with his family as I passed by on my way home. I was very saddened to read of Gurney's passing. My maiden name is Beaton and I grew up
on Ocean Avenue, Dominion, and now live on Nova Scotia's South Shore near Bridgewater.
I have many fond memories of Gurney from school days. A great guy and thinking of Gurney

i was sadden and shocked to see the passing of my old friend , Gurney, we had many laughs together while being members of our fire department and as Leaf fans we had to endure the abuse. My condolences to his Wife Doreen and to his children. He was indeed a great guy. RIP my friend.
