My sincere condolences to you Danny, Stephen, and Lynn...you have lots of memories to treasure! I too have many nice memories of Stella....we enjoyed our walks together as new moms, then throughout the years as our children grew, and then as elders we enjoyed our walks together at the beach, or walks at the Bayplex. Stella was always a good friend, and through the years we always enjoyed our time together. She was always happy at the keyboard and we all enjoyed the many times she shared her talent. Lynn, Stephen and Danny, I don't know where to start with the memories or stories. I know 42 Bay Street had an open door policy and I know there were too many times to count where I knocked on that door and was fed or sleep overs...mostly in the trailer in the summer. I know speed dial didn't exist then but 849-4942 was programmed in my phone. Lynn and I discovered many things together in the early years as we were not yet old enough to go to school. Somehow, that didn't stop us. Stella was like a neighbourhood Mom to many of us either because she taught us or because we were friends with her children. May s he rest in peace and be reunited with many of her Glace Bay neighbours who missed her dearly. Love and thoughts and prayers to all of you during this time. Laura Marsh(Moorhouse) Ottawa

My deepest condolences to Danny, Stephen and Lynn on the loss of your mom. I have such fond memories of my childhood visits to 42 Bay Street!
