My sincere condolences to the Fowler family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Joan and Dave were great people. Their door was always open and you were greeted with a smile. Joan was vivacious, caring and loving, always quick to laugh. Many fond memories of my time in Glace Bay at the Fowler residence.

Dear Margaret and family, I was saddened to learn of Joan’s passing. She always had a story to tell me whenever we ran into each other, And of course she always had a smile. I won’t be able to attend the service but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers in your loss. You will have lots of good memories of her.
My sincere condolences in your loss of such a sweet lady.

To Viola and family,
Aunt Joan was really my favourite. She always showed us love and excitement whenever she came to our home. We loved her and your Dad. They had quite the love story. I was always so touched by how loving they were to each other. They had a lovely connection with Mom and Dad and we loved seeing them arrive and knew we would get those hugs and kisses. They really supported us during Moms last year. I loved looking out the kitchen window and seeing them arrive, with fudge squares of course.
She was a beautiful person with so much love in her heart. It’s hard to loose a mother and such a special one. I’m sorry I can’t be there to pay my respect to her. Know that I am thinking of you all and sending my love and hugs.

My sincerest condolences to the family. I had the privilege of spending many hours of my childhood at the ninth street residence hanging out with Joan's children. She was so kind to all of us. May she RIP.

Love you Nanny.
I will always remember all those times we came home from Ontario and stayed at your place. I loved staying at Nana and Papa's. Nana always spoiled us and let us have whatever we wanted even when mom and dad would say no. I'll always miss our Christmas gatherings and family suppers. All the cousins running up and down the stairs playing and all the adults sitting at the table. I loved when Nana would let me play with her Avon stuff on her bed. Probrably where my Avon addiction started LOL. I loved loved loved the cozy comfy feeling you got when you were at Nana and Papa's. OMG her Fudge squares ... I don't even like sweets but I loved Nannys Fudge Squares. I will always miss coming through the door and being smothered with kisses and hugs. I remember as I was getting older and in those teenager years I was like ewwww wet kisses LOL but now I cherish those memories and all those kisses.
Please give papa a hug for me xo Miss you Forever

Aunt Joan was a great lady. She would always have peanut butter cookies for me and fudge squares for Duncan. We are sending our condolences to the family. Aunt Joan is sitting up in heaven with her love of her life uncle Davey with a cup of tea chatting with been and daddy Duncan. They are all at peace.
