To Bernice's family, my deepest condolences on such a great loss. I had the privilege of being a student in "Mrs King's" Grade 5 class. There have been several teachers who have touched my life and Bernice was high on that list! She was a great teacher who made learning fun. She taught me compassion, caring, determination, humility, and friendship, as well as the curriculum. Not a school day went by without hearing her gush about Bradley and Russell (her two sons were all she had at that time). We have crossed paths many times over the years and she always had a smile, a funny remark, and a sparkle in her eyes, the one that made me feel special when I was in her class. I feel blessed that she was a part of my journey through life. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you face this difficult time. God bless. xo
