Obituary of Susan Maureen Shaw, 58, Sydney/ Halifax

It is with sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of our daughter Susan, age 58 on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Susan was born in Antigonish on July 29th 1963 and grew up in Isle Madame, Montreal and Sydney. She graduated from Sydney Academy, obtained her BA and Hospitality Administration diploma from CBU.Following graduation she moved to Halifax where she worked for 34 years at the Prince George Hotel until her health deteriorated. For the last 12 years Susan spent time going to several European countries satisfying her love of history, travel and large stadium concerts with London being her favourite place to be. Susan is survived and deeply missed by her parents, John Shaw formerly of Montreal and Barbara (MacLean) Shaw, formerly of New Waterford. Due to covid restrictions a funeral mass will be held at a later date. We thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their empathy and excellent care given to Susan.
