We were shocked to hear the news that Joann had passed. Sending big hugs to all her siblings and her children and their families from the Larades in Ottawa. It was great to see her in July when we were there to say goodbye to Dad. Can't believe she's gone.

Stephen, Shari, Tyler, Andrew and Families: I was shocked to read of the passing of your dear mother Joann. I had seen her at the hospital now and then and lately, at the drive thru at Tim Hortons in the Pier. But, I missed her over the past couple of months in the Pier and wondered where she might have been picking up her morning coffee. To read of her passing was certainly not expected. As all of you know, your mom was a wonderful person who cared deeply for all of you and for your welfare. She was also very friendly with people she knew and certainly gained a great deal of respect over the years. It was a pleasure to have know Joann and always a treat to see her big smile and be greeted with her friendly approach. You have lots of great memories of your mom and hopefully they will help you overcome your great loss as she would want for you. Joann was my very first friend. 1964. We were inseparable in the 60’s. . I started school a year earlier than Joann and she would wait on the corner of Service Taxi and King Street for me to come home from school. We made mud pies together and got into trouble together.
I didn’t see much of Joann in later years unfortunately but that bond was always there. Always and forever.
Laurie, Kim, Tishie, Hughie and Tommy, my heart is with you all. Your loss is unimaginable.
