Macdonald Family,
I had the privilege of working with Clarice for many years at Medical Hall, and have many fond memories of her. When we met, I was a kid myself, and marvelled at how easily she seemed to manage nine children, a career and a social life. (I learned many years later when I became a mother that this, in fact, was NOT easy.)We shared many laughs, and as life would have it, also some tears. She seemed to take it all in stride, the good with the bad. There was nothing better than to be in the lunch room and have her throw her head back and laugh at something, or roll her eyes if something ridiculous was being discussed. Later, we enjoyed her visits (with Lorraine) where we were able to keep up with what was going on in each other’s lives. I really think she knew how much her coworkers liked her, but I hope she realized how much we respected her. Her strength and perseverance were admired by all of us. She was one of a kind. I’m sorry that I am unable to attend her service today, but I send my sincerest condolences to all of you.
