Poppy was the best grandfather anyone could ever have. He was the kindest and sweetest person I ever knew. Always so full of life. He would always be on the tractor or in the shed working on a new project.
He also loved when I would step for him and show him a dance routine.
Once we were driving and he could tell from 20 feet away that someone’s tire was about to come off.
He was a very intelligent man and always sharp.
A wonderful soul to have graced this earth, RIP to my Poppy I will love you forever.

I did not have the privilege of knowing Dapper, but this past July I got to know his daughter Rosie and son Brian. It was the induction of Dapper's late brother Dougie into the New Waterford & District Sports Heritage Hall of Fame, of which I am a committee member. Due to illness, Dapper was unable to be spokesperson for his brother. However, I was fortunate to come upon Rosie & Brian. They both not only splendidly represented their uncle but did an equally great job taking the place of Dapper, who, from what I read in these posts, was a class act. My condolences to Rosie, Brian and families.

So sorry to hear about Dapper. We used to play badminton at St. Agnes Gym many years ago and your mum and dad were regular players. We had so many laughs with both of them. And of course we always saw them in Church. They were such a loving couple and now are together again. God Bless them both. JJ, Agnes and Roddie MacLellan.
