Isabel (Beaton) grew up next door to my mother's house (MacNeil) and the families had a close bond. I'm remember my Grandmother going to Isabel's for her needles and my mother going down after darts on Friday nights, later I stared going on Fridays with Tarryn and always felt welcome,even if I brought extra people, Isabel was always welcoming to anyone who entered her kitchen! Knowing Isabel was a privilege and a joy! I knew her primarily as a nurse, she was one of the very best! Her knowledge, skill, kindness and compassion knew no bounds, but at three in the morning when things were getting difficult, she was wonderful to have around! She was a great nurse because she was such an exceptional person.

To Isabelle's Family,
It is sad news to hear about the death of Isabelle, a woman of such strong characteristics. I worked with her many years ago at New Waterford Consolidated Hospital. She was someone I felt had a good sense of the care of patients, at that time she was a Nursing Supervisor. As I was reflecting on my time in New Waterford I remember one time telling a story and I can still see her throw her head back and had a good laugh. Not so long ago I said to someone how I would have loved to go and visit her. Sadly that never happened and I regret that. As I pray for you her family, know that I will always be grateful for her kindness to me and for mentoring such a great standard of Care.
