Dear Fred and Family,
We will miss Ruth’s cheery smile in the neighbourhood. She always had something positive to say followed by a little chuckle. Every summer she would comment on the joy she took from looking out at my gardens. I’ll think of her this spring as I plant my gardens. I’ll plant something pretty just for Ruth! I have done Ruth's hair the last number of years and have met Laura at the salon when she was in Pictou to visit. Ruth was always so happy and loved to tell stories of her family when in to have her hair done. She was a joy to have as a client , her smile and laugh will be missed.

Ruth and I were best of friends as teenagers living on the same street. We did everything together until she moved to Ontario. We lost touch with each other as we both went on with our lives. But got back in contact, when her and Fred moved back to Cape Breton, visiting and keeping in touch on the phone. Ruth was a beautiful caring friend and will surely miss her. Rest In Peace dear friend. Till we meet again.
