Aunt Germaine was one of the most selfless, kindest person I know, was a privilege to have her as my aunt. I will never meet anyone quite like her again. My mom and her were very close. Rest in peace Aunt Germaine and enjoy the beautiful life you have earned. Love Rita Young-Kubat

My mother, Hannah, and Germaine were sisters. Ma often said how close she and Germaine were. But that is not unusual because the "McDonald girls" were very close. The guys were as well but the girls really stuck together. For instance, back in the day when they were all hale and hearty, they would congregate at someone's house ( usually Annie's I believe) and have a Sunday night get together especially if it was someone's birthday or Christmas. I've seen some pictures and you can tell they really enjoyed these little ( not really little because there were 10 girls, of course those living far away were absent) gatherings. Brother Tommy and his Mrs would also show up occasionally. Germaine with her sparkling eyes and beautiful complexion and all her sisters and brothers shared a genuine love and caring for one another. Rest in peace, Germaine. This part of your journey has ended.

First of all, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the surviving family members as I was close to all of them. Germaine was my second mom at my second home as I was there as much as I was at my own home years ago. She had no problem putting me out of the house with her boys when we would get on her nerves. We enjoyed teasing and bugging her but she would also get her licks in also, she had smacked me on the back of the head just for good measure, fond memories. I am so very sorry for the loss of your mom. The first time I met Germaine&Lawrence I seen a very special closeness. They were like two peas in a pod. She was a very special lady who cared deeply for her husband. Over time her and I grew very close. I loved spending time with her. Germaine had so much love for everyone especially her family. Germaine was an Angel on Earth with so much faith in our Lord. The gates of Heaven are opened wide. hugs to all her family.

Germaine is my Mom in law and will always be Ma to me as she treated me like a daughter and friend. I love and respect her so much and will miss her deeply and forever. She was the kindest, most generous, gentle and caring person who loved her family very much and had the best times of her life when she was around them. I will always have great memories of our times together. Till we meet again Rest in paradise Ma.
