It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Robert "Yacky" MacLean, age 60 of New Waterford, announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023.

Robert was born in New Waterford to parents Alfred and Roberta (Corbett) MacLean.

In his 60 years, he was known to be a jack of all trades; he was a man of many hobbies, one of his favorites being coin collecting. He enjoyed spending time with family and going for drives in his beloved '66’ Chevy Malibu. He loved taking trips to the bungalow for many years with his father-in-law Johnny Boy, fishing the Yankee line and watching the skies.

He was infamous for his quick wit and the way he could turn any situation humorous effortlessly. He was an avid dart player and could hit triple 19's on command.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Joann (MacPherson), daughters, Ashley and Brittany, and son, Alfred; special brother, Francis "Crow" who Robert looked up to his entire life, brothers, Dale and Gerald, along with sisters, Sharon, Lynda and Darlene.

Robert is also survived by his grandchildren, Brady, Bobby, Tony, Anna, Adrian and Sawyer and he leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by parents, Alfred and Roberta "Bobby" MacLean, brothers, Freddy, Clifford "Bug", Bernie "Jose", Charles "Puggy" and sister, Sheila (in infancy); his grandson, Johnny Robert MacLean, father-in-law, Johnny "Johnny Boy" MacPherson and special sister-in-law, Mary MacLean.

He was an unforgettable man who impacted many lives and his stories will live on forever.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. As per Robert’s wishes, there will be no services.
