I am going to remember all my memories with my grandmother, as well as my grandfather, with great fondness and extreme love. I remember weekends that my mom and dad were gone away. My brothers and I was been at my grandmothers. Well we could just not wait till the weekend to mom and dad will go away to get to sleep over at her grandparents. My grandmother would spoil us rotten!! Then as I got older, there were plenty and plenty times that I would escape to my grandmas from my parents house for some relaxation, fun and (of course) get rotten by grandma!!!!
Her cooking and baking was also amazing, ESPECIALLY her baking! Everyone would gain a few pounds if they had an extended stay at grandmas place. Her date squares, homemade pies, and fudge were to die for! She’s always bake each of her children, their souses, and of course her grandchildren their favourite dessert on their birthdays and I sincerely doubt that you could name a pie that she wouldn’t bake at Christmas time, christening was always wonderful at grandmas place as well.
I could go on and on with wonderful memories but I’m sure everyone else that had the opportunity to meet my grandma have their own wonderful memories ❤️

I remember Helen being a kind, generous lady who had the most happy demeanour. I have very happy memories having many visits to the Charumskis and being so welcome there. They treated me like another member of the family and I enjoyed this family’s company very much. My sincerest condolences to my childhood and longtime friend Patsy, Mary, Paula and their brothers and families. Your mom will be missed and I know that her spirit prevails.

Patsy, Mary, Paula, Jimmy, Joey and Wally, please know that my heart is breaking at the news of Helen's passing. She was one of the nicest, kindest mothers in our neighbourhood when we were kids growing up on Brookland Street. She had a great sense of humor - at least I know she made me laugh a lot. She loved her children and her neighbours. She worked hard to make a happy home for all of you and I'm thinking she would have don anything to help her neighbours. Keep her close in your memories.
