Mom graduated from New Waterford General Hospital (1950) with Highest Honors and was employed at New Waterford General and New Waterford Consolidated hospitals for over 40 years. She worked in many areas of nursing including the Operating Room, Nursing Supervisor, Inhalation Therapy, and the Medical Unit (as Head Nurse). Mom demonstrated great professionalism and dedication in her Nursing career ensuring that her patients always received quality, compassionate care. As a Nurse Leader, Mom mentored many novice and seasoned nurses. She cared immensely for others and her kindness and generosity was evident in all aspects of her life.

She was a member of St. Leonard’s CWL, Eucharistic Ministers, and also held various positions with the Aging Gracefully group of which she was a founding member.
