Beloved daughter, sister, and friend

Adelina was born July 28,1936 at the Glace Bay Hospital, Nova Scotia.   She passed away peacefully October 7, 2023, surrounded by loving family and the caring staff at Maple Hill Manor, New Waterford.

Adelina is predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Chiarina (Caliguri) Colosimo; her brothers, Michael (Mikey) Colosimo, Olando Colosimo and Peter Colosimo; and her sisters, Mary (LeBrun), Sylvia (Wilkinson), Norina (MacMillan) and Candia (McLean).

Adelina is survived by her sister, Chiarina Colosimo (Mervyn McClay), Halifax and by her brother, Mario Colosimo (late wife Vinetta (MacDonald)), Dominion.

Adelina’s journey has taken her from her childhood years in Dominion, NS to many years as a nun with the Sisters of St. Martha in Antigonish; to moving on to Ontario and her dream job with St. James Catholic Church in Oakville; to an unforgettable trip to Italy and an audience with the Pope at the Vatican; to her last job in Oakville before retiring to Cape Breton.

Visitation and Reception will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 pm at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home,
