Zena and I were the same age and close friends for over 95 years. And cousins also. She was a good person; warm, friendly and loyal. We lived three miles apart and we used to be penpals. I have long and cherished memories of her. May she rest in peace. with best wishes, Margaret (Rannie) MacLellan.

Dear Lois, Karen, Elaine, Simone, Families, Extended Families and Friends,
How sad I was to learn of your mom Zena’s passing. Even though she lived to be 101 years old, losing your mom is not an easy thing. She was truly a saint among us, so gentle and kind. I could add patient to that list too as I reflect more than fifty years ago. It was a pleasure to go to your home where Zena and Pinky were always so welcoming. Now we pray for them and to them and celebrate as they are united once again. God Bless all of you as you journey the difficult days ahead! Rest In Peace gentle woman!

I am so very sorry to learn of Zena's passing.
She was such a lovely lady.
During my visits, we talked about 'the old days' when Plummer Ave was buzzing and when she worked at Eaton's,hiring Brenda as a new clerk.
Covid blocked everything but the phone. One day, I was calling someone and dialed the wrong number....which happened to be Zena's, which,of course led to a lengthy conversation, once again. It makes me smile, thinking God works in mysterious ways.
May she rested in everlasting peace.
