Gloria Morrison, a beloved member of the Glace Bay community, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Sunday April 7, 2024 with her husband Blair and family at her side. Gloria was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, her vibrant spirit, and her boundless love for life.

Ma always enjoyed and was known for her love of family gatherings. She cherished the opportunity to gather with friends and family with her laughter filling the room. Ma's zest for life was contagious, and her presence brightened any occasion.

Ma’s love of cooking and baking was familiar to many.  Her kitchen was always filled with delicious aromas and the warmth of hospitality. Family and friends sat at her kitchen table, always with food and could feel the love she put into each dish.  Shopping was another of Ma's favorite pastimes, and she took great delight in selecting the perfect outfit for any occasion. Her impeccable sense of style was evident to all who knew her, and she always took pride in her appearance.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Blair, who was love of her life. She is also survived by her children, Patsy (Donnie), Greg (Paul), Joan (Dawn), Joe (Michelle), daughter in law, Roxane (David).

Gloria also leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren, Rob (Tara), Steven (Adrienne), Jennifer (Shon), and David (Christine), great-grandchildren, Lola, Max, Emily, Kaelyn, Londyn, Emersyn, Rylee, and Nora, were the apple of her eye and brought her immense joy.  She also left behind many nieces and nephews.

Gloria is also survived by her siblings, Judy, Margie, and George (Dorothy).  Judy was a constant presence, visiting every day and providing unwavering support to Gloria and Blair during their time of need.

Above all else, Ma will be remembered for her kindness, her compassion, and her dedication to helping others. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
