Obituary of Irene (Morrison) McLean, Glace Bay

Irene (Morrison) McLean, age 81 of Glace Bay passed away on Monday, April 22^nd, 2024 in New Waterford Consolidated Hospital with her family by her side.

Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Emerson & Hazel (Milley) Morrison.

Irene worked in Ontario and also with Glovers Cleaning Services in Sydney.

She loved crocheting, knitting, playing cards and bingo. Irene was very compassionate and had a great sense of humour as well as a deep love for her grandchildren, Jade and Dawn Jackson (Michael).

Irene is survived by her daughter, Susan McLean (Thomas Cameron).

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George McLean and a brother, George Morrison.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. A private burial will be held at a later date in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney.

Memorial donations in memory of Irene may be made to New Waterford Consolidated Hospital or your local S.P.C.A.
