On behalf of the team at the Nova Scotia SPCA, I want to send my sincerest condolences to Ms. McCarthy's family and friends. Ms. McCarthy was a lover of animals and a very generous donor to the Nova Scotia SPCA. We are so grateful for Ms. McCarthy's love of companion animals and for her support. My sweet Aunt Marie, smart, caring, and tuff as rocks. So many great memories since we were small kids all the way up to just last month, on our trip to NS. You were so unforgettablly generous and caring to so many. I know you are deservingly so with the Lord now. I had the pleasure in thanking Marie personal on a visit to her home.I thanked her for kindness and generosity to my family,Marie was a blessing.We had a great chat life in general, and what a small world it is that her sister-n-law was married to myhusband's Uncle he got killed in pit,yrs later she married Marie's brother.I know that she didn't want anything for her generous gift so I gave her a thank u card with a jar of my homemade dandelion honey.I was looking forward to another visit. xo

Aunt Marie,
You are one of those one-of-a-kind people. You heart is much bigger than any person I have ever known.
Marie, you have brought so much love and joy to the entire family, and we will all miss you.
Your wit and your heart was never in doubt, as you have shown everyone how to be a kind, giving and loving person.
I will remember your love for all animals. I remember staying with you during the summers when I was a kid. Going to the Golden Mile plaza to watch movies, watching the scruff get mad because you didn’t poor him a beer.
As we got older all the stories that were told.. tall he fun times we all had together at the Legion, in Oromocto.
Well, I guessthe song "ME and Jesus Got our own thing going" applies to you now.
You are definitely one of a kind. God is with you know and I am certain he is proud of you and happy to welcome you into his arms, and he will definitely give you the keys and put you in charge of the doggie heaven so you will be very happy. Our hearts break knowing that you are gone but your legacy will fo on forever.
