I had the pleasure of working with Charlie when he was a town councillor. He also played Santa for our recreation department's kindergym playgroup back in the 80s and 90s. Always willing to go the extra mile for those he represented, he was admired and respected. My sincere condolences to the MacLeod family on the loss of your husband and father.

Aunt Tootsie and family,
It is with heavy heart that we, the Lee family, wish to express our deepest condolences. Charlie was a good friend to my father Ray Oliver, and mine and Manning's fondest memories of Charlie was when he was "our Santa Clause." He would come through the door Christmas Eve, bigger than life, yelling, HO,HO.HO! We knew it was Charlie, but that didn't matter to us, we were just kids who wanted to believe. I remember sitting on his knee sticking my fingers through his white beard, as he shuffled through his big red bag of toys. Today, I am a grown woman, with growing kids of my own, and every Christmas, I still remember my youth, an think of Charlie.
Thanks for the memories Charlie!

Sincere condolences to Tootsie & all the famity on Charlie's passing. I have such fond memories of Charlie in my younger years as he was a good friend of my Dad & he spent many hours at our house. I remember his big smile & his wit & how he loved to tease. We were honored when he agreed to MC our wedding & he was wonderful. So many fond memories of uncle Charlie during times when our clan camped out at Grandma & Grandpa's every summer for my entire childhood and beyond. We also enjoyed Easter and the occasional Christmas. We were fortunate to experience 'Santa Charlie'.
Charlie - so much the character, so fun, so happy, so very special, so loved. We are blessed.
Mom will be there to welcome Charlie home.
