Lee-Anne and I had the great privilege of counting Sister Agnes as a friend for over 15 years; as a leading light and guiding spirit of Peace Quest Cape Breton, she enriched and changed our lives as we stood in solidarity with all those fighting non-violently for peace and justice in Cape Breton, Canada, and the whole, sacred, beautiful world. As she liked to say, and rightly insisted, 'there is no peace without justice,' and in our ongoing struggles and campaigns, we will always sense her spirit, her gentle strength, her generously powerful presence.

I, Patti (neice) & my fiance, Brett, are very thankful that we were able to visit Sister (Aunt)Agnes in Sept/17. I had not seen her in many years and had to see her to let her know what she has meant to me. She was so strong and upbeat. It has always been a comforting feeling to know that she was always there no matter what. I am very grateful for this and will always remember Sister (Aunt)Agnes. I will miss her! RIP Sister (Aunt)Agnes.

I would like to extend my sympathies to Sr. Agnes' family. My family and I were privileged to know her while she ministered in Lower Sackville and we loved her. Even though I had not seen her for a few years, she still remained in my heart. I'm sure there will be a special place for her in Heaven.
