So very sorry to hear of Paula's dying. She was a wonderful person and an exceptional nurse who cared so much for everyone she knew. My first memories of her go back to when she moved back from California and took a position as nursing supervisor at New Waterford Hospital. She was great to work with, competent and devoted, but also great fun. Knowing she was working made taking overnight call so much better! When she became a patient I got to know her better and began to appreciate her extraordinary qualities. She was a joy!

When Paula had the time, and she was always on the move, she used to talk to me at length during a very dark time. The miracle of our Mother's Kidneys working after 1 year dialysis. giving here 10 years with all of us. Paula knew the importance of the Blessed Virgin Mary in our mother's life and in my life. Before she left for Calgary, before she lost her speech, we had our heart to heart and a blessing from Jesus Christ through his mother. I want everyone reading this to say 3 hail Mary's for Paula, 3 hail Mary's for Melissa, Ian, Matthew, and Rebecca. it begins, hail Mary full of Grace the lord is with thee, blessed are thou amongst women.

I was walking in town one day and Paula stopped to ask me where i was working as a new RN. I told her and within a week she had me working in my home town hospital. To say she was special would be an injustice, she was extra special. Sweet,kind,non-judgemental,caring and intelligent. An excellent nurse and my mentor. We would meet occasionally in a store somewhere and it would be just as if we saw each other 2 days prior. I know your earth body is resting in heaven, but your soul and our memories of you will live on a long time. To all the family, our sincere condolences, you are always in our thoughts and prayers. Paula may you RIP

When we were children, Paula and I were inseparable. Right up till I turned 10 Paula was there to protect me. In this picture it was taken at a time when our family was growing and mom was always telling Paula, "Watch Glen Does not go out on the road chasing that foolish dog, (prince)" One day I tried to get in the middle of a dog fight and Paula grabbed me pulled me out just as that crazy dog next door locked on to my hand. Ian, was the name of the dog, I kid you not, continued next
